I recently got an e-mail from a friend over at Microsoft letting me know about
an exciting conference they're going to be holding at The Venitian in Las Vegas
March 20-22, 2006. Here's the e-mail and some links for you to find out a little bit more:
It's been a while since I've been in touch, but I wanted to be sure you'd heard about an event
Microsoft will host for Web developers and designers March 20-22 in Las Vegas. The event, MIX,
is designed to be a 72-hour conversation about enhancing Web-based customer interactions. Attendees
will have the opportunity to hear Bill Gates and other industry leaders talk about the new and
unique experiences that can be delivered over the Web and how developers building on the Microsoft
platform can play a role in enhancing the Web's ability to drive business results.
MIX will focus on what Web developers and designers can take advantage of today on the Microsoft
platform, giving attendees the opportunity to share perspectives with other attendees, pick up
the latest builds of upcoming technology releases, and test drive new Web development and design tools.
For more information about MIX, including the registration site, please visit
http://www.mix06.com/. I['ll ]be in touch [soon] to share more information about
the event. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions.
They just updated the site with the latest conference details today. If you're thinking of going,
be sure to go take a look. It should be quite interesting. From new technology like Atlas, IE7,
and Windows Presentation Foundation (formerly "Avalon") to doing cool things with RSS and developing for
the living room with remote controls and the Xbox, it should be quite a conference.
